welcome.
I know that you believe that you understood
what you think I said, but I am not sure
you realise that what you heard
is not what i meant.

an account of sorts.

prom was absolutely smashing, and a good reason for that because of the great company. the food standard (actually) passed! the emcee was a total moron though, with his crude and unamusing jokes. and i pity the poor deejay, no one bothered to dance to or appreciate his music. many pictures were taken, and I think all of us are already half-blind.

and I feel very blind.
had a sore left eye before prom, and it got better along the way, but because I stayed out till 8 am the next morning, the condition didn't improve. anyway, had plenty of fun with everyone! some of us went over to dblO after prom, and ms. chew kindly graced the occasion. one thing I have to say: I so detest cigarettes and smoke. seriously, why smoke? you're not even a smoker, you're just the sucker at the end of it. and a good alternative name for smokers would be chimneys. (note: I don't have anything against smokers per se, they're nice people, but smoke isn't.) and as for those flirts, I don't even have to mention names, but could you please quit it? have some self-respect and dignity. if not for yourself, then for your parents and those who know you. wake up. and yes, I've said it whether or not you people like it. still, you do know it's for your own good.

it was mighty fun with sampup & hasif by singapore river, taking in the sights and occasional sounds. once, I had the unadmirable position of having to answer the call of nature, and because there were no restrooms around, had to stream into the drain nearby. and alas, the jogger who was about the area (by the way, which sane man jogs at 4 am anyway?) decided to run in my direction, and thus I was totally embarrassed.

went for breakfast at han's before heading home. managed only six hours of snoozing. wonder what's happening. haven't been able to sleep much nowadays. and that's weird. really.

met up with bryan and friend in the afternoon. which brings to mind the rather sad fact that I won't be able to see all my friends and relatives before I enlist in the army this saturday. oh well, I'll just have to make do. then for Sampups-Hasif-Gid Session II in the evening. pastamania, and then jazz@southbridge. I actually like singapore in the very early morning when no one's around. it's so peaceful at that time.

went to city hall to catch the last train, which already left. we saw this guy who was alone near citylink, and sampups kept insisting he was stalking us. well, it turns out he wasn't, so I came up with the mischevious idea of us stalking him instead. and so we followed him all the way from citylink to the esplanade theatres, then the bay, then through the esplanade to the bus-stop. since we were so very bored, I decided I might as well approach him and talk, and the rest followed suit. turns out it wasn't so bad, he's a nice guy, and so sampups and hasif had their virgin experience of talking to strangers (I've done it a gazillion times though. haha.).

finally, sampups' mum beckoned (menacingly! haha), and so we did a round trip to tampines to send her off before hasif and I camped at my place. and who would expect to see a naked man bathing at the void deck of her block at 3 am?? I saw everything. and I very nearly died. yeah.

hasif and I went for prata, and there was this bawling toddler crying her heart out for no apparent reason. aiyah parents, don't bring your kids out so late at night, lah! they need to sleep! oh, kambing soup's quite nice (off-topic I know).

I have two days left (actually 1.5). I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my family, friends, cell group, teachers and all who don't exactly belong to those groups for being so wonderful and loving towards me. it's been a great joy knowing all of you, and I pray I shall never depart from your hearts as I embark on this new chapter of my life, for all of you shall never leave my heart.

God bless, and I'll see all of you soon. :)

In This Life

For all I've been blessed with in this life
There was an emptiness in me
I was imprisoned by the power of gold
With one honest touch, you set me free

Let the world stop turning
Let the sun stop burning
Let them tell me love's not worth going through
If it all falls apart, I will know deep in my heart
The only dream that mattered had come true
In this life, I was loved by you

For every mountain I have climbed
Every raging river crossed
You were the treasure that I longed to find
Without your love I would be lost

Let the world stop turning
Let the sun stop burning
Let them tell me love's not worth going through
If it all falls apart, I will know deep in my heart
The only dream that mattered had come true
In this life, I was loved by you

In this life, I was loved by you.
