naruwan.the trip to taiwan was an eye-opener.
yet, i don't feel keen, nor see a pressing need to say too much about it, for reasons unknown even to myself. i write, yes, but perhaps not like this.
suffice to say, i've gotten to known the likes of certain individuals and the ways in which they operate. it might be seen as downright shallow by some others, funnily i don't quite think that way. everyone has shortcomings, don't they? we all have weak areas in our lives. so i'm not one to judge. i myself am not perfect. should i judge, i'd far less be.
but i promise to tell it like it is. oh yes, whether you'd like to hear it or not, you'll still do. because that's just the way i am; not one to keep mum and pretend nothing has happened. however, it's in the attitude of correction, not judgment or chastisement. always show love. always be wise.
the exercise was on overall a pleasant one, save for the first night, where i had to double up as an unwilling and grouchy rebro relay for the entire net. but i must say it was quite an experience. such things don't come by easy. but what really took the cake was the number of casualties (i.e. people who fall out), and the effort taken to salvage their poor souls. poor WO V. too. banality, i tell you.
most enjoyable was the retreat to the city of Kaoshiung, where i've had two stupendous days taking in the beauty of a foreign civilisation. complicated city, i must say. especially the traffic. but nothing beats beijing's traffic.
nothing.
injuries sustained:
grazes, bruises, and getting pounded unceremoniously by a huge tree branch on the back of my neck.
all in all, i'm glad to have known you guys better. namely, WQ, S, GY, D, D, EL, WL, R, A, M, SP, WC, etc. oh you figure out the abbreviations yourself. haha.
now it's off again.
