tell.'cos all I want in this lifetime is youuncle CM flew over from Down Under this week, we had a nice family gathering over at my aunt's place last night. a great attraction was, of course, the food! crab feast. yummy. matters of the palate aside, what touched me was the sing-along session: hymnal. the moment was quite perfect, really, I don't know how else to describe it. simply a soft, warm glow in my heart knowing that my loved ones got together praising God, and that couldn't be more precious. dad, mum, gor, five aunts, five uncles, cousins. all have come to the saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus.
How Great Thou Art, indeed!
served for two services today and JAMS service. gazing upon those hundreds of faces, impaired intellectually as they may be; somehow there was that look of expectancy and joy on their faces. it is amazing to have the opportunity to see the purpose God has brought into their lives. the world ridicules, but Jesus loves. people scorn and murmur, but only those with hearts of love are willing to go down to the level of these dear ones and touch their lives. we're all human beings, and their being mentally challenged doesn't make them any less worthy. sometimes the weak and poor are the happiest, because they understand what contentment is.
it's been a rather hectic two weeks: in-camp duties, late nights, dinners, lengthy calls, giving Bible Study lessons, books, books and more books, pet-upkeep, but I'm happy alright. :)
